I long loved the old TSR fantasy board game, Divine Right. I often wondered when I was younger how it could be that Dragon magazine would publish histories (Minarian Legends) of a world that they did not use for role-playing. Since 2001, I have been entrusted by Glenn Rahman, one of the designers of the board game and the rights holder for the IP, to reconcile and augment the Lore.
Twenty five years on, I continue to work to shape the existing DR Lore into something suitable for a RPG setting. There is an underlying set of nomenclature and mechanics that mimic D&D 3.5, but it is lightly applied, so as to make the world of Ia (the continent of Minaria and its neighbours) suitable for playing with any game system.
This includes reconciling the various Minarian Legends, including incorporating the newer material which made its way into the 25th anniversary edition and the 2024 remake editions of the game. I am sure it will come as no surprise that there are some gaps in the Minarian Legends, including chronological blanks, so I have made educated guesses where necessary. To that volume of material I have added my own creations, blending them (I hope) seamlessly into the existing information.
Glenn has been supportive of the attempt and over the years has permitted me access to unpublished material. I'm also indebted to James McCracken, my game mechanics counterpart who has kept the flame burning for lovers of Divine Right these many years, and who has been front and center in producing the reprints and rules updates.
Many thanks to Glenn Rahman for his tolerance with my meddling in the world of Minaria.

The Ship in the Fens is a small dungeon set inside an ancient fossilized Lloroi shipwreck. Here is the map of the Ship in the Fens.
Also included is the Minarian Legend (Dwarves) first published in Dragon Magazine in 1981. This particular Legend did not make it into the Minarian Legends (2022 edition) (which all true fans should own a copy of), so it is offered here.
